constant F10 error despite reset. What now?

Hello I have a hotpoint ctd80 condenser dryer. I got a F10 error code a few weeks ago and followed the advice on another post to reset the thermostat.

My dryer is a newer model so I couldnt actually unscrew the heating bit I just had to pull it down a bit to insert the pin but it still worked.

However I only got it to work for two spins and then the error code came up again. I reset again but same thing, two spins and then F10.

I am wondering what to do next is it something I am doing wrong or can I replace the thermostat myself and does anyone have advice on how to do this or do I need to get the dryer fixed/replaced.

Laura
Thanks in advance
