get the piston at top dead centre there is a t mark on the generator rotor and it can be seen by removing a plug on the left hand engine case,then undo the cam sprocket cover on the left hand side of the cylinder head and line the o mark on the cam sprocket up between the two marks on the head.and that is it providing both of the marks are in the positions i just told you the timing is right
