vw transporter aab engine how can i overhaul ?

i need to overhaul engine aab 5 cylinder diesel 2.4 , 57 kw after it got too hot, piston cylinders are damaged ( oval shape ) and cylinder head and valves is damaged by heat and electrolysis
how best to go about it ?
