Rubber Opening Replacement?

I have In Sink Erator Badger Model 5-81, and connot remove the rubber opening cover for replacement.

How do you get it out as it does not pop out like other units I have had in the past?

You need to remove the unit from the bottom of the sink to replace the rubber baffle. Loosen or remove the drain attachment, then drop the unit from the sink mount by rotating the mounting ring counter-clockwise. There is a angled hex wrench that is supplied with the unit, but if it's lost you can use a phillips screwdriver to fit in one of the three ring tabs. Rotate about 1/3 turn, and the unit will drop from the sink. Replace the rubber baffles, and re-install.
