How can I mend my Valiant turbo max 282 vuw-5?

Once again my Valiant,s diversion valve looks like it has malfunctioned once more ,the usual cost around the 250, absolutely fed up as this will be its third coming up in five years. Is there service kit that I can buy to replace the switch on the valve or am I held ransom to paying through the nose once again !!! many thanks Richard

thanks for your answer Mike ,Ive always suspected there might be a cheaper option somewhere.but resonably competent myself Im not really to knowledgable on gas water heaters ,although through painful experience Ive identified the little xxx that keeps giving us grief. I will ask him if there is a chance of fittings this alternative ,many thanks Mike for your knowledge and your honesty.... Richard

not many people know this but if it is the diaphragm that keeps malfunctioning you cant actually buy one for the vaillant boiler hence 250 pounds but the alpha cbx's diaphragm fits perfectly and retails for around five pounds and is a lot easier to install ( sorry fellow heating engineers )
