NEW NEPTUNE SHOWER IS EITHER RED HOT OR COLD?

WE HAVE JUST INSTALLED A NEW NEPTUNE SOLO ELECTRIC SHOWER , WE HAVE JUST TRIED IT AND IT FLUCTUATES FROM HOT TO COLD NO MATTER WHERE THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL IS SET. IT ALSO DIMS THE LIGHTS SLIGHTLY. PLEASE HELP AS I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SHOWER TO BE INSTALLED FOR MONTHS THANKS KIM
