how do you adjust the carburator on a mcculloch chain saw?

Our mcculloch chain saw is running terribly. How do I adjust the carb on it? We have no manual for it. Not a new one either!
Larry, March 2009
I recentley picked up an old McCulloch chain saw.
Realy ran badley.
I found the fuel line was cracked where it went into the tank.
I replaced the fuel lines & cleaned breather on fuel tank. Also replaced fuel primer bubble.
I noticed it was sucking air.
Ran a little better but still not 100%.
To adjust the carb I turned the H & L screws all the way in (clockwise)
then backed them out 1 turn (counter-clockwise)
ran pretty good.
But it did tale a little tweeking 1/8 to 1/2 turn (while running.
I hope this will help you out.
