How can I fix my sharan?

I have a vw sharan it only goes in 1st and 2nd gear how do I fix it please help

ive come across a few sharan with gear change problems,it might be a broblem with one of the gear change cables going from the gearstick to the g/box they are a two peice cable and ive changed a few with simuler fault.
