how can I disable my alarm on my avensis with still being able to lock it? It goes off within two minuites of me locking it

I wish I knew. Mine is the same, no central locking, no radio display and no courtesy light, and the alarm goes off every time you open the door and start it up.
Disconnecting the battery has not worked.
