2004 Ford Galaxay 2.3 manual which is stuck between 3rd and 4th gears?

2004 Ford Galaxay 2.3 manual which is stuck between 3rd and 4th gears. Lever mechanism works ok. Gearbox input selector seems to be stuck vertically. Any sugestions?
