the reversing lights on my m reg renault espace -'champs elysees' do not work. ive checked the bulbs and the fuse. all seem fine. ive located the switch on the gear box but not sure if im right in thinking i need to replace it. if so do i need to drain the transmission fluid? is there a relay or anything else that could cause this fault? thanks

Don't expect it to be much different to the V6 of the same model. On the V6, the reversing light switch was above the oil level (check switch position to the height of the oil fill plug?). Just un-bolt & replace. I was surprised to find the local auto factors stocked it !
To check your switch, just us a continuity tester. In reverse gear it should be short circuit.
