Seat leon 1.9tdi won't start?

I have a seat leon 1.9tdi and my wife filled the tank up with unleaded petrol by mistake. I have drained the fuel out of the tank and the filter but for some reason the engine won't start.

Did you run the engine with unleaded fuel in it? Have you replaced the filter with a new one? When you refit the filter if it is vertically mounted fill with clean fuel first. Some vehicles need a helping hand if completely empty of fuel.

Try copy paste your question in to the cars section you are likely to get more mechanics looking at questions there. Don't try starting anymore it might cause damage if petrol still in system.
