Use the Central Park 5hp Briggs and Stratton about once a year. It's about 5 years old. I choke it to get it started then back off the choke, and keep it on idle. It ran for 35 or so minutes today and all of a sudden began dieing. I start it, get it running, when I
put in the clutch it may run for 20 seconds, but then dies.

No 1.. How old is the fuel ?? It may have gone stale. empty the old fuel out and replace with fresh fuel.
No 2.. make sure the muffler is not blocked.
