CORRECT CATEGORY: Kitchen Appliances, Rangehoods?

I have a 2-year old Westinghouse rangehood in which the motor/fan has stopped working. As it's JUST out of warranty, is there any way to repair it?

If you have a multimeter and can open the hood up, you could figure out what the problem is better. It could be the fan motor is burned up, in which case you'd have to just buy a new fan for it. It could also be that a wire vibrated itself loose, or a fuse has blown.

With the meter, you could test to see if the fan is getting electricity.
