Both issues are related to a no heat problem.find the element in the base and check its resistance.if its open circuit this is your fault.could also be a problem the the control pcb in the fascia panel.tracks and relay get bad connections and joints around the heater relay area.you need to remove and strip the pcb out of the plastic holder to see this problem
