Hi,
I have a JCB 3CX SUPER from 1998 with powershift trans. The other day i have opened the gearbox to change a clutch pack and, while i was at it, i have cleaned the solenoids too. Now the trans is on the machinery again, i have connected the solenoids but it has the following problems :
- when i select forward the machinery does not move at all
- when is in neutral, the machinery goes backwards (i think in 3rd gear)
- when i select backwards, the machinery goes forward (i think in 2nd or 3rd gear)

What do you think is the problem with this? Is there a certain way to connect the solenoids, or i don't know...?

i have a jcb 3cx 1st 2nd does not work but 3rd and 4th do. wot is the chance of it bing soilanoid problems i gess if i mark were thay are now and move them about to c if enythink changes

Thanks for the response. The serial number is 463221 and on the gearbox are 5 solenoids. I have tried today to change the cables with each other but no luck, the gears are all scrambled up. Can you help me with some info on how this can be arranged?

yes,the solenoids are all related to gears in forward and reverse,they need connecting to the wiring correctly.there should be either 6 or 5 solenoid conections,do you have the seriel number ?
