morphy richards grime buster steamcleaner 2200?

I can not unscrew the filler cap,it just turns around.The steamer is cold,and was ok when last used.

Many thanks - unused for a long time but still under pressure. Plug in connect the pipes and release the pressure and hey presto it opens! The internet is a wonderful thing eh?

Tank is still pressurised, plug in and turn the bottom 'steam' switch on. This will release the pressure and allow the plug to be unscrewed.

You have probably 'threaded' it. If you try to screw something on and it is difficult, but you keep trying, the metal is strong enough to change the thread, then next time you try to use it, the thread is chanelled wrongly, so it doesn't screw in properly.
