when does a cambelt need changing on a 1996 (p-reg) vauxhall astra 1.6?

it now has 126k on the clock and it was changed at 96k. is it a big job, how much would a garage charge.

Hi, the belt should be replaced @ 40,000 miles or 4 years, on either the 8 or 16 valve the book time for both is 1.1 hour no special tools are required
