I wanted to cook something for my lunch and lit the cooker the usual way. I went back a few minutes later (instructions were to pre-heat) and the oven wasn't lit. So I tried again and again to get the cooker going but it didn't work. I pressed in the knob to let the gas through so I could light it. Pressed the ignition switch and it lit the gas but when I let go the flame goes out every time.
Thermocouple is faulty to simplify it the thermocouple sits in the flame and sends a current back to the gas valve to hold the gas valve open when the thermocouple wears it will not satisfy the valve
