bmw 318 1997 will not start when warm/hot?

I have reccently changed the starter motor on it, but did not make a difference, still got this problem, it will always start first time every time when cold !?
its not the battery as no signs that its flat, it makes pushing noise as such like its jammed but why will it start cold ? its not making the clicking noise like when starter motors are broke.
please please help, willing to pay for good advise.

- I had this too - when driving car more than 25 mins through traffic on a hot day (mid '90's or higher), I would be unable to restart the car.

- after raising the hood for 10 - 15 mins, I could then restart the car. I never ever had any issues when the car was cold.

** the starter on the 318's is centrally located in the engine compartment and is very succeptable to heat and causes these symptoms.
