How to fix an Error code on a ECR-340 Cash Register E04 is the code?

I am trying to program a ECR-340 cash register and when I tried to Program the first item I got and E04 code and I can not get the register to do anything now. What do I do?

Hi. I haven't got info for that model, but on most Sanyos, E4 means compulsory input required.
Make sure the drawer is closed, make sure you press subtotal after the item is rung up, or type a price (dollars and cents with NO decimal point) before you press the item button.
