TRANSIT WATER PUMP?

Hi, I have a 2000 Transit, the last of the old shape, can anyone please advise me on how to change the water pump, I have the replacement unit and really need to know the easiest way to the repair on my driveway. I assume that the easiest way is to remove the rad so you can see what you're doing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Rob

remove rad. remove both belts and the water pump pulley. then remove timing belt cover. If needed remove the fan (not always nesc). The water pump is attached with 6 bolts (note the positions). Remove these and the water pump will come away easily. Clean off the old gasket and clean the mating faces. fit new gasket and fit new pump. then reverse the process. Takes about an hour tops.
