No

You might get dead but not very likely - it is illegal for an uncertified person to accept payment for repairing gas boilers - it is not illegal to try to do it yourself - just a bit dangerous - also your house insurance may not pay out if you blow the street up.

If you are a landlord then it's also illegal to do your own repairs and maintenance.

A gas engineer may be best even though some of them charge a fortune and some just guess which part to change next.

Most of them are probably very good...
