how do i fix my tow bar?

ive bought a second hand towbar but when ive gone to fit it theres holes under the car but none inside the boot do i have to make my own?

I'd imagine the tow bar fits straight onto the bolt holes on the chassis... as i cant see you having to bolt through the chassis and through the floor of the boot.... really depends on the vehicle and the tow bar
