Fisher & Paykel EcoSmart won't get message to rinse?

My F&P is not getting the signal to rinse in the rinse cycle. It recycles whatever water it has (maybe a cup or two) and then stops, tries to think about what to do next, and then tries to rinse again. Both the hot and cold water valves allow water to go through in the wash cycle, which works fine. What is the reason for this problem? I'm thinking it might be a circuit board issue not sending a proper signal but don't know. Any help would be appreciated of what the problem is and how I might fix it. Thank you.

By the time it gets to the rinse cycle there should be more than a cup or two of water. Sounds more like it is not getting past the soap mixing reirculating stage when it should then fill to the correct level & agitate. If you leave it long enough it should eventually go in to a fault mode & beep & display a fault code. If you get a fault code you can post it & I will see what I can suggest.
