feels like clutch is slipping but it ain't!?

my 01 reg mondeo 76000 miles on the clock has developed a fault where the clutch appears to slip on rapid acceleration but only now and then! some days it's fine and somedays it will need 10 miles of driving before it sorts itself out.....any ideas?

My Mondeo did this at 76000 and all of a sudden on the M25 in the middle lane changed gear to overtake on a hill clutch just went nothing. So a bit of slip like yours and nothing. So get it done ASAP
