Pump continues to run on AEG dishwasher?

Hi,

I have an AEG under worktop fitted dishwasher and the pumps stays running. Do I need to extract from underneath the worktop and tilt to attempt to drain any possible leak or is there an easier way?

Would appreciate help.

thanks all. On our dishwasher 4220i the pump kept running all the time. I checked and got all water out of the salt chamber and a little bit of water from where the filter went. Turned on and pump still stayed on so removed the washer (be carefull as 2 platic feet broke) and when out i left it standing on 2 feet (slight angle) for about 1 minute. Then proped a support under the broken feet and turned it on, and now its ok. Once pushed back in, i used it and washed the dishes etc and it works like normal. Now will need to get 2 wooden blocks to place under the broken feet. Thanks for the simple idea but what a head ache getting machine out.

Our pump running was caused by burnout of one transistor on main circuit board - looks like a write-off

Hi try getting dishwasher out and tipping 45 degrees. It appears to have a anti flooding trigger sometimes activated by too much lather. Worth a try we just had the same problem and after googling followed this suggestion and it worked. good luck

you could remove the metal front panel right at the bottom, behind bottom edge of the wooden door panel (6 screws),but if it has a leak you will need to pull it out to find where from
