Honda HRB476C Oil Change?

How do I change the oil on my Honda HRB476C - and where can I get hold of a service manual?

How do I change the oil on my Honda HRB476C?

Peter, October 2011
The easiest way is to run the machine for 10 minutes to thin the oil. Stop the engine and leave it for a couple of minute to allow the oil to drain back to the sump. Then simply undo the filler cap/dipstick and turn the machine on its side to an angle just short of 90 degrees to let the oil drain. Once the oil has emptied return it to its upright position and refill with a good quality oil. In the UK I tend to use sae30 as it tends to keep its viscosity better than multigrade oil. Your machine will only need about .6 of a litre - be careful not to overfill!
