HOW TO REPLACE KIN PIN ON A LDV VAN?

REPLACE NEAR SIDE FRONT KING PIN ON LDV VAN
CARL, March 2009
how many king pin set do i need

dave, October 2013
wheel off, calliper and hub assy off, remove disc shield, then disconnect track rod, remove top and bottom circlips [holding grease caps in] take out caps and sealing "o"rings, remove cotter pin- best to remove nut and spring washer, refit nut till flush with cotter and give it a good whack to release it! then king pin can be knocked out [ make sure that you have a solid support under end of axle to take out "springing" when knocking out.best to use a solid piece of bar about 1" long position on top of pin,and use sledge hammer if very tight [which they usually are.] make sure that pin is quite free to turn in axle to allow alignment of slot for cotter.no need to ream as needle roller bearings fitted.
