cam belt replacement for peugeot 206 GTI?

need to know at what mileage to replace cam belt
anita, March 2009
replace every 50k mate , better to be safe than sorry

change every 50k. thats standard for petrol 206s. theres no point taking the risk of the engine being ruined for a couple of hundred quid. i am having my cambelt changed in the next few hundred miles as i can hear it beginning to squek. dont take the chance. Hope this helps

Hi Anita, depends on engine size and type (petrol/diesel) but generally 80,000 miles

nigel, March 2009
For the 1.6 16v engine in my car it is every 80k miles but I guess yours is the 2.0 16v. I wouldn't take it too far past 60k personally. Why not ring your Peugeot dealer or local Peugeot independent specialist for a definitive answer.
