i have an ideal classic lxff & ff fanned flue boiler. switched on last nite after bin away for the weekend but the pilot light does not seem to light

Common problem on classic was partial blockage on pilot supply, especially on the LP gas models. You'll need a corgi to do this as its quite involved to clean the pilot injector.
