How can I pull out the battery trays of the Drayton ?

Digistat RF1 thermostat? I'm normally good at puzzles!

We've figured it out! You need to push the tray in and up at the same time, then when you have it in this position push down (towards the end of the tray) on the top flat piece of plastic which at the top of the tray unit. It is tricky and really hurts your fingers, but the tray will pop out.

I am having the exact same problem! I have google it but can only find the instructions which say to 'press to unlatch and slide down' - as if it was that easy. If you figure it out please let me know how it's done :)
