You are about to experience the WORST of Ford design!
I had this very job to do, and the worst part were the bolts that hold the brake caliper to the strut....there are 2 bolts (15mm heads) and you will need to take all 4 strut clamp bolts off or you will not be able to release the top bolt. I broke several tools trying to get the one bolt to turn...NOT because it was rusty, but Ford use a thread locking solution/compound on the bolts. I recommend HEATING the bolt head and immediate area BEFORE using a heavy duty 15mm RING spanner (open ended spanners will NOT work - trust me on this!)
