My older chainsaw has a very weak spark?

The spark does not show when I ground the plug but when I put my finger accross the electrode I feel some current there...obviously the chainsaw doesn't start.Any ideas?

If it's old enough to have points/condenser type ignition, the condenser has probably failed. If electronic, you will need to replace the coil.
