how can i fix my m.o.t?

I have a vw polo 1.4cl 97' which has just failed mot on a missing exhaust mounting. the mount missing is on a pannel attached to the bottom of the car, the exhaust doesn't hang down or knock underneath som should it have failed? many thanks

It isn't secured as it should be, so get it repaired. Leaving it without the support is likely to cause early failure of the exhaust system.
