My dishwasher has a problem getting rid of the waste water which I do manualy by allowing the waste pipe to be lower than the dishwasher, but in doing this it then has the problem of not filling up with water until I then put the waste pipe back up at a higher angle. Please help!

the pump impellor has stripped and will need replacing by the sounds of it.about £90 for a new one.and a ten min job.
