How can I fix my diplomat APM 6826 fridgefreezer?

On my fridge freezer the freezer works ok. However the fridge keeps icing up on the back and is running very cold even with thermostat on one. It also makes noises like a whistlng wind. Any ideas apart from ditching it for a new one?

Grateful for any help!

I thought a new thermostat was the answer when ice formed on the back of the fridge compartment. But several days later, with the new thermostat installed (by an electrician), there is new ice!
Does anyone know if and where I can purchase a new APM 6826 model? It was part of a new MFI kitchen around 2003.

Hi
I have no answer I'm afraid, but my fridge is doing the same. Does anyone have any ideas?
Can one still contact Diplomat or did they cease to exist with MFI?
