Potterton 60 oil fired boiler?

The spring thermostat cuts out when fired up to temperature but does not come on again unless I move the spring switch that should have moved to turn the boiler on but did not. Is this the problem and can you supply the part?
Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard,
I've got a Potterton 60 which is still working well, but I've not been able to track down any spares so can't help with your supply problem. I assume you're talking here about the flame detector, located inside the boiler just under the top lid (rather than the water temperature thermostat outside the boiler). If the flame detector has been removed or disturbed, are you sure the contacts are actually in the "cold " position before start up? If not, take out the detector and turn the L-shaped plate on the flame detector anti-clockwise, as per the arrow.
Regards,
Ian

ps if you know anyone who has spares, particularly the DAS controller, I'd be grateful to know.
