How can I clean my Inkjet printer?

When paper runs though my printer it becomes covered in ink blotches. The rollers must be covered in ink. Is there a way to clean the moving parts inside and Inkjet printer?

The inks used in inkjet printers are water soluble. It may be possible to remove excess ink deposits by using cotton buds soaked in plain old warm water. Do not clean printheads with this method, use distilled water as tap water has impurities which will most likely damage the heads. Good luck!

Try using some form of alcohol and cotton bud. (I use a window cleaner if I don't have alcohol. It must be an alcohol-like solution which dries very quickly. Not a cream cleaner.) Let it dry completely before using the printer.
