hotpoint wf860 is jumping when spinning?

when our washer is spinning with clothes in, it jumps off the ground.. But as soon as you take the clothes out it is ok again, i have taken a look inside to see if there is any supports broken and there is nothing broken?? I have found some small chewed bits metal but cannot find were from?? is this the end of the line for our washer????

put hand inside the inner drum at the TOP now push upwards ANY excessive movement indicates bearings HAVE failed, changing bearing is a big major job as the machine has to stripped back to nothing
if not a mechanically minded sort of person, need to cost the parts plus labour charges, and then I would decide if a new machine or a refurbished with a guarantee is the better option.
