my boiler is 7 years old it has just suddenly gone off, the water or heating are not working and there are no lights illuminated on the boiler, it is just like the electricity and gas have gone but they are fine everywhere else

No lights at all ?....This sounds like the fuse has blown, if the fuse in the plug or fused spur is ok then the internal fuse on the printed circuit board has blown, either one this is a problem you cant handle if a fuse blows, then a major component has failed. call in a registered engineer.
