Could be anything - you need to connect a diagnostic unit to the socket in the car to find out the error code. This will tell you what is causing the problem. An indipendant garage will charge about £30 to do this, main dealer a lot more. Once the code reader is connected you have the option of clearing the error, but if the problem is major it will possible come back.
