Sanyo Electronic Cash Register ECR-330D Stopped Taxing?

Out of the blue the register stopped taxing. Usually there is an * before each item which means that it is taxable and taxing. That has dissappeared. If I press the "tax exempt" key then it taxes the item. The problem is that I now have to press the tax exempt key for each item in order for it to add tax. I have the manual but I can't seem to figure it out.

I know this is an old thread but I am having the same problem with the same register. Did anyone figure this out ?

I'm also with a 330 without a manual and trying to program tax in. I almost have it except for the location of the percent key that someone removed. Arrg. A manual I would pay for

Hi.
It sounds like it has been switched from auto to manual tax system. That is why you have to press the button (it reverses the current status). You need to find the programming that sets tax to automatic. I don't have a manual for this model, so it is hard to help further unless you have a PDF version you could send.
