Stick them in a freezer if you have one, the wax will freeze making it really easy to scrape off with a knife or something.. Then give them a hot wash.. jeans can take a 60 degree wash without shrinkage.

Scrape off any lumps and iron with absorbent paper as a blotter to soak up the melted wax.
Use a couple layers of paper - toilet tissue - kitchen wipes - newspaper - and put some on the inside to prevent any wax soaking through.
