Clutch on my 206 is squeeking?

Hi all

I'm hoping you can help.
I have a 2003 206 GTI and just recently my clutch pedal has started squueking. I thought it was the pedal itself, so squirted some WD40 into the joint.

However the squeeking noise is coming from under the car in the actual clutch itself.

It's making a kind of squeeking/grinding noise that sounds almost like dry rubber grinding against something.

Has anyone got any suggestions or ideas what this might be?

Cheers

Sounds like clutch actuating fork, or clutch release bearing, or the tongues in the pressure plate.

Hell of a job to lubricate the latter two. Might just be able to get a little oil onto the fork pivot. Don't get oil in the clutch though, you'll ruin it.

I'd probably put up with it until the clutch needs replacing.
