You have a partial failure of your rear roller mechanism, which will shortly be a full failure. You have a couple of cogs inside the roller and they do suffer from corrosion. Its an expensive job to repair as you have to remove the whole thing, get into it (and you will come up against a very difficult cog to get off). Its not a job for an amateur. Get a quote from a garden machinery business, the ones with the smaller ads in yellow pages will be cheaper ;)
