MY dryer will not turn on, the moter looks good, the switch looks good,is their a fuse or somthing that I am missing? Can I get a wiring schematic?

I have checked the switches with a ohm meter. I have continuity. I have power I have 220 volts off two legs. There is a part about 2 inches long, a square ceramic Fuse thing with a clear plasic tube around it it is up in the back where the timer and controls are. the plastic around this looks like it got hot and split. It has an orange wire on it. Where can I get a wiring schemactic. This dryer was given to my daughter so I don't know how old it is or do I have any books or anything with it.

Hello,

First thing I would check is to make sure your getting the 240 volts at the dryer that it needs. Then I would check the easy things like the door switch and push to start button for continuity.
