there is a terrible noise coming from my machine when its on a spin cycle how can i fix it?

place hand in the inner drum at the top and push upwards and see if the drum lifts if yes bearing are shot need replacing (this is a major job ) Another test to try with the door open, rotate the drum by hand and see if you hear a rumbling sound of the bearings .
