no you do not have to! open the boot and look behind the tail light there and you should see a clip remove that and there are 2 srews u must remove then the whole thing will come away from the car remove wires mahing sure u know were to put the wires wen u put it all back together agan take light to a flat surface and u will find more clips (make sure u take care removeing the clips oterwise you will have to buy a whole mew light fitting
