im a single mum..my dad left me a punto 5 door and i used till upto 18months ago till tax and mot ran out..i can charge the battery ..oil..water..what do i check for the mot...as i dont have alotof money...its got a new exchaust..please help

hi the best thing you can do is check any mot station you book it in to provides a free retest and then book it in and let the tester check it for you the mot process involves items that you can not check without the proper equipment such as headlamp alignment brake effort and emissions testing it is far easier to get a fail and rectify the faults than stabbing in the dark and getting it wrong
